For employees who find that tension affects their work

What an individual coaching programme could offer

In the workplace

Some employees are highly capable in their role, but struggle with how to respond when tension arises in work situations.

This can manifest as:

  • withdrawing in meetings

  • experiencing tension in working relationships

  • finding it difficult to be visible or take a clear position

  • acting less effectively when tension rises

Recurring patterns often play a role, meaning expertise and strengths do not always fully come through.

Coaching programme

In a coaching programme, the employee explores what happens in situations where tension arises, which patterns influence their actions, and what this means for bringing their expertise and strengths into their work.

In a programme lasting 3–6 months on average, we work on developing more effective ways of responding in work contexts where tension plays a role.

What we do during the programme

  • We work with situations in which tension arises and make visible what happens in those moments in terms of behaviour, thoughts, and reactions

  • We explore patterns that recur across multiple situations and develop alternative ways of acting, creating more space to respond with greater choice and effectiveness

  • The employee practices these approaches in real-life work situations so that new insights and ways of acting immediately become part of their daily work.

Results after the coaching programme

  • Employees collaborate more effectively and engage in conversations with greater confidence

  • Employees act with more steadiness when tension rises

  • Their expertise and strengths are better utilised in their work

  • Their long-term employability is strengthened

Would you like to support your employees in developing greater steadiness when tension rises, so that their expertise and strengths remain available even in those situations? Contact me for a no-obligation consultation.

How the coaching programme works

Intake & proposal

We start with an intake session, together with their manager if desired. In this session, we explore the situation of the employee and we formulate the development goals for the coaching programme.

Based on this, I create a tailored proposal for a coaching programme including a quotation. After consultation and approval, the coaching programme begins.

Tailored coaching programme

The coaching programme lasts on average 3–6 months, with 5 to 10 sessions of 1 to 1.5 hours.

Between sessions, there is brief online contact with the employee to reflect on what is happening in practice and what this means for the next step in the process.

Halfway through, we evaluate the progress and adjust the focus where needed. At the end, there is an evaluation in which I reflect on the process with the employee and discuss how the employee can continue applying the skills and insights they have developed. If desired, this can be done together with the manager.

Investment & Invoicing

Since it is a tailored coaching programme, you will receive a clear proposal including a quote.

This coaching programme can be funded through development, training, or HR budgets (for example, in the context of sustainable employability or personal leadership).

The invoice is sent directly to your organisation after approval and the start of the programme.
