Do you recognise yourself in these situations?
-
You’re smart, driven and ambitious. Yet it’s hard to position yourself confidently. You wonder if you’re really ready for the next step.
-
You hold back in meetings, even though you have valuable ideas to share.
- You find it hard to connect with colleagues, worrying what you say might come across the wrong way and being misunderstood.
It might seem like you simply need to be more assertive. But often, there’s something deeper going on.
Maybe the unwritten rules of your upbringing clash with the directness of Dutch communication. Maybe you learned to stay quiet – because mistakes weren’t allowed, or because there was simply no room for your voice. Or maybe you’re constantly trying to meet your own high expectations.
Sometimes the deeper feeling is this: not truly belonging anywhere. Not in your home country anymore, but not fully here either. This sense of ‘in-between’ can quietly affect your work, without anyone noticing. Not even you.
Personal Leadership coaching
In this program, there’s room for all of this. We start from real work situations you’ve encountered. Together, we explore what shaped you – your family, culture, and lived experiences – and how these still influence your thoughts, feelings, communication and choices today.
You’ll gain insight into what you truly need to position yourself with confidence. You’ll learn how to take your place, use your voice, and shape your work and life in a way that fits who you are and honours where you come from.
After this program:
-
You’ll feel clearer about what truly matters to you. This clarity helps you make better choices, stay true to yourself, and bring all parts of who you are into your work.
- You’ll speak up in meetings, expressing your ideas in a way that feels natural and grounded.
- You’ll handle pushback or resistance without diminishing yourself.
-
You’ll feel rooted in your role, and grow into more responsibility with ease, setting boundaries while staying connected.
You won’t need to become someone else, just more fully yourself.
Core focus of the program:
You’ll work on
- communicating effectively in a Dutch work culture
- becoming more assertive, in a way that suits you
- dealing with perfectionism and fear of failure
- setting boundaries without while staying in contact
- building self-confidence
As a result
- you bring your ideas forward with confidence, even in a direct work culture
- you move with ease between different (working) environments
- you set boundaries in ways that strengthen connection
- you use your ambition as a strength, without driving yourself too hard
- you take your place, own it, and naturally grow into responsibility
How the Personal Leadership Program works
We begin with an intake session to explore your current situation and define your learning goals. This intake can be just with you, or include your manager. Based on the intake, you’ll receive a tailored proposal outlining the focus areas and the duration of your coaching program.
Sessions take place in nature, in an informal setting in Delft or online. Coaching is available in English, French or Dutch.
In a coaching program of typically 3 to 6 months, we explore your personal and professional context. We examine both visible and invisible influences – such as family patterns, cultural background, and subconscious loyalties – alongside your unique personality traits. You’ll discover how to use your background and personality as strengths. Every aspect of the program is customized to your goals.
It usually takes 5 to 10 sessions of 1 to 1,5 hours to achieve sustainable results. The exact number depends on your learning goals and what we encouter during the process. Sometimes, a compact program is sufficient; other times, it’s helpful to take more time between sessions. In that case, we’ll schedule shorter online contact moments to reflect on what you’re experiencing at work.
We focus on practical work-related challenges: how to stand your ground, communicate more effectively, and navigate cultural differences with confidence.
Throughout the program, we regularly reflect on your learning goals. Between sessions, you’ll apply what you’ve learned on the job, supported by tools that help you grow at your own pace.
I use a variety of techniques to support your development:
- Deep listening: I don’t just listen to your words, I pay attention to the broader context, relationships and recurring patterns within systems, such as your team or organisation.
- Visual exploration: We use simple, visual setups to reveal hidden patterns in your team, family, or organisation (also known as constellations). These help make unconscious dynamics visible and tangible, offering new perspectives on what influences your communication or choices.
- Body awareness techniques: These help you tune into what your body is telling you, like when something feels off or overwhelming, and how to calm down and regain balance.
- Reflective conversation techniques: We use dialogue to gently shift perspectives, helping you see situations in a new light and find fresh responses.
